Washed out: 200 vehicles stranded in flood
Friday, May 28th, 2010 Auto Property SalvageA monster rainstorm resulted in stranded vehicles, frustrated commuters, sewer backups and flooded basements in Springfield Wednesday afternoon. As many as 200 vehicles were stranded in floodwaters after 4 1/2 inches of rain drenched the city of Springfield in about an hour and a half starting shortly after 3 p.m. More rain totals.
