A monster rainstorm resulted in stranded vehicles, frustrated commuters, sewer backups and flooded basements in Springfield Wednesday afternoon. As many as 200 vehicles were stranded in floodwaters after 4 1/2 inches of rain drenched the city of Springfield in about an hour and a half starting shortly after 3 p.m. More rain totals.
