Water main break floods city streets

Thursday, November 8th, 2012 Property

Crews in Baltimore have their hands full Wednesday morning with a water main break. At around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning the Baltimore City Fire Department was called to the intersection of North Charles Street and West 20 Street for a reported water main break. The Department of Public Works spokesperson, Kurt Kocher, says it is a "major water main break." Kocher said they believe that the break is from a 60-inch break, but that they’ll know more when they get it shut down. He said the most important thing "is to avoid this area as much as possible."
