Wind peels roof off Los Alamos school gym
Friday, May 24th, 2013 PropertyA blast off wind took part of the roof off a school gym in Los Alamos Wednesday afternoon causing significant damage but no reported injuries. Debris landed on the Barranca Mesa Elementary School library and a pre-school section of the building. Five cars in the parking lot also were damaged. School officials said the wind seemed to come out of nowhere about 1:30 p.m. lifting the top layer of the gym roof.
