Wisconsin Bus Driver Who Chased Passenger Gets Workers’ Comp

Thursday, June 6th, 2013 Workers' Compensation

A Wisconsin appeals court says a Milwaukee bus driver who chased down a passenger who used a racial slur and spat on him is entitled to workers’ compensation. Bus driver Isaac Bracey hurt himself soon after getting off his bus to pursue the passenger. Court documents say Bracey suffered a permanent partial disability affecting his ankle and knee. Bracey and the labor review commission sued after the bus company, Milwaukee Transport Services, refused to pay Bracey’s lost wages, medical expenses and disability payments.
