A worker was critically injured Wednesday from a possible lightning strike near an Ocean Breeze Park construction site, according to the Martin County Sheriffs Office and Fire Rescue. Deputies responded to a call of a man down and possibly struck by lightning shortly before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at a construction site near the 3000 block of North East Indian River Drive, said sheriffs Detective Sgt. Karl Nelson and Laurie Weber, media relations assistant. Six co-workers at the scene performed CPR on the man until emergency medical services crews arrived, Nelson said.
