The Insurance Council of Texas is hosting the premier event gathering of industry leaders, experts and professionals at the 29th Annual ICT/AFACT Property and Casualty Insurance Symposium in Austin, TX, September 1-2, 2021. This event brings together professionals in-person at the Hyatt Regency Austin on beautiful Lady Bird Lake. This year’s event welcomes industry leaders from Texas and around the nation to share their thoughts on the Texas property and casualty market and recent state, national, and global events influencing the financial and regulatory status of the insurance industry.
Symposium highlights include a discussion on insurance in a post-pandemic world, experts weigh in on the 87th Texas legislative session, updates from the Texas Department of Insurance, an industry leader discussing the opportunities and challenges presented by the Texas market, and resiliency takes center stage with a panel sharing views, strategies and tactics. The conference concludes with a featured motivational speaker on individual and organizational resiliency!
During the Symposium, ICT will announce the recipient of the prestigious Raymond Mauk Leadership Award, given to a person who has demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions to the Texas property and casualty industry.
In addition to being an important event for Texas insurance leaders and professionals, the Symposium also serves as a fundraiser for the ICT Education Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization which provides scholarships and grants to risk management/insurance programs at nine Texas universities. ICT is proud to support the next generation of insurance professionals.

The Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) was created when the Texas Insurance Advisory Association and Texas Automobile Insurance Services Office merged effective September 1, 1996. For over 80 years, these two Texas-based associations had been the principal property and automobile insurance associations for companies operating in Texas.
