The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is pleased to announce a $25,000 investment from Restoration Affiliates (RA). This significant investment will be used to support the association’s Advocacy and Government Affairs (AGA) initiatives to advance the voice of contractors in the industry. “This generous investment in AGA by Restoration Affiliates demonstrates how the restoration industry is unifying to work together to tackle the biggest issues facing restorers today.” said Mark Springer, CR, RIA President. “We are truly appreciative of RA’s tremendous support of this critical work on behalf of restorers.” The Restoration Industry Association's AGA committee is the restoration industry’s first unified advocacy team. It seeks to unite the restoration industry and advocate for the best interests of restoration contractors nationwide and develop and implement strategies to help create and maintain equity between restorers and insurers and their partners. “On behalf of our membership, it is my pleasure to be able to provide this contribution to help support RIA in this important endeavor. As a collaborative, we understand the importance of coming together for the greater good. Working together, Restoration Affiliates has been able to leverage our resources capitalizing on synergy to produce a result that is exponential to our efforts.” said Jim Kowalski, President of RA’s Board. “RIA is leading the way to address inequalities that have plagued the restoration contractor for too long. We are pleased that many of our members volunteer their time, talent & financial support to help RIA in its mission. In addition to all that our members do, we felt it was important for us to come together as an organization to provide a substantial contribution. RA was born as a result of the recognition that the restoration industry cannot continue on the course that it was headed. This alignment of vision with RIA is one of the many reasons we felt compelled to further support their efforts with a meaningful financial contribution.” The AGA is currently working on critical issues including development of the first ever Third Party Administrator (TPA) Scorecard, position papers on working with Third Party Consultants (TPCs), and pricing feedback with Xactimate.
