Rick Capra Joins Tressler’s General Defense and Litigation Practice Group

Tressler is proud to welcome Rick Capra to our General Defense and Litigation Practice Group. Rick focuses his practice on the defense of insureds/insurers in the areas of transportation, products liability, toxic tort and governmental tort immunity. Due to his in-house legal background and corporate insurance experience, Rick brings a deep knowledge of insurance programs and coverages. He provides insurance coverage counseling and litigation services for a wide range of clients.

Rick has successfully defended an extensive number of lawsuits involving fatalities, amputations and serious bodily injuries. He also has significant experience in the defense of mass tort events. Rick has trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts.

Rick’s clients benefit from his extensive corporate insurance experience and in-house legal work at various entities. He most recently served as Vice President at a large, muti-national commercial property and casualty insurer. Rick has also served as Associate General Counsel and Director of Risk Management in the transportation field. He has experience building complex property and casualty insurance programs involving both domestic and foreign insurers. Rick has extensive knowledge of policy forms, coverages and claims-handling practices. With private legal experience as a litigation associate and partner at various law firms, Rick is known for his successful defense of lawsuits relating to products liability, transportation, toxic tort, governmental immunity and bodily injury.

Rick received his B.S. from Loyola University Chicago with Magna Cum Laude honors from and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
