This is a special weather statement from the National Weather
Service in Riverton.
* WHAT...Scattered snow showers. Bursts of heavy snow will occur
in the stronger showers.
* WHERE...Mountains above 8000 or 8500 feet.
* WHEN...This afternoon and early evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibility will be severely reduced to
under a tenth of a mile in the stronger showers. Bursts of heavy
snow would cause mountain passes above 8000 feet to quickly
become slick and hazardous. Once the snow ends, roads are
expected to become generally wet after about 30 to 45 minutes.
