Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

600 PM CDT FOR TIPPAH...BENTON...TISHOMINGO...NORTHERN PRENTISS...
ALCORN...HENDERSON...HARDEMAN...MCNAIRY...HARDIN...CHESTER AND
DECATUR COUNTIES...
At 334 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that rainfall of around 3
inches had fallen in some areas over the advisory area. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Corinth, Booneville, Lexington, Savannah, Henderson, Bolivar, Ripley,
Selmer, Iuka, Chickasaw State Park, Natchez Trace State Forest,
Chickasaw State Forest, Pickwick Landing State Park, Natchez Trace
State Park, J P Coleman State Park, Big Hill Pond State Park, Lamar,
Whiteville, Parsons and Adamsville.
Rainfall intensity trends are diminishing with perhaps an additional
half inch expected. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
