Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Sevier County in southwestern Arkansas...
Northeastern McCurtain County in southeastern Oklahoma...
* Until 400 PM CST.
* At 152 PM CST, emergency management reported flash flooding in
Holly Creek near Dierks, Messer Creek south of Dierks, and Dry
Creek near Watson. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

De Queen, Nashville, Dierks, Horatio, Umpire, Broken Bow,
Lockesburg, Gillham, Ben Lomond, Corinth, Athens, Center Point,
Oak Grove, West Line, West Otis, Geneva, Eagletown, Cerrogordo and
Plunketville.
