deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast California, including the following
county, Inyo.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM PST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 707 AM PST, CHP reported between 2 and 3 feet of water
over US 395 between Lone Pine and Olancha. Flooding is
already occurring. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen
in the area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
US 395 between Olancha and Lone Pine. Other roads around
Owens Lake will be prone to flooding.
