Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...
Ocmulgee River near Macon affecting Twiggs, Houston, Monroe,
Jones and Bibb Counties.
Ocmulgee River at GA 18 at Dames Ferry affecting Jones and Monroe
Counties.
For the Ocmulgee River Basin...including Jackson, Griffin, Juliette,
Juliette, Dames Ferry, Macon, Macon, Hawkinsville, Byron,
Clinchfield, Hawkinsville, Abbeville, McRae, Scotland, Lumber City...
Moderate flooding is forecast.
...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.
* WHERE...Ocmulgee River near Macon.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 29 feet, Significant flooding expands over the Macon
GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail north of the U.S. Highway 80
bridge with some areas under 9 feet of water. The water level will
reach the bottom of the bridge. Backyards of a few homes on the
left bank near Glenridge Drive will be completely flooded. Large
portions of the Southern Railroad tracks around Mead Road will be
a few feet under water. Agricultural lands just east and south of
Macon will be under 1 to 10 feet of water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 27.6 feet and cresting.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 27.7
feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
Saturday evening.
- Flood stage is 18 feet.
