night as flood waters are difficult to see. Do not drive through
flooded roads.
FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
southwest Michigan and west central Michigan, including the
following counties, in central Michigan, Gratiot and Montcalm. In
south central Michigan, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham and Ionia. In
southwest Michigan, Allegan, Barry, Kent and Ottawa. In west
central Michigan, Muskegon.
* WHEN...From 8 PM EDT this evening through Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Over an inch of rain is possible tonight. Total precipitation
amounts since January 1 are much above normal across the
area, and at some locations are near record. Very wet soil
due heavy rain on Friday may result in efficient runoff of
rain water tonight.
