Chippewa River at Durand affecting Dunn, Pepin and Buffalo
Counties.
.Recent rainfall has lead to additional rises on area rivers. Crests
will occur over the next few days.
...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Chippewa River at Durand.
* WHEN...Until Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Highway 10 on the north approach to the
bridge across the Chippewa River may flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 300 PM CDT Friday, the stage was 14.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 300 PM CDT Friday was 14.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.4
feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage early Thursday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.4 feet on 04/15/2002.
