Flood watch in effect for portions of Arkansas thru Thursday
Afternoon...
.Two upper level systems will move thru the area this afternoon
thru Thursday. Persistent heavy rainfall associated with these
systems will cause excessive rainfall across portions of southwest
and south-central Arkansas which could lead to flash flooding.
Rainfall amounts in excess of three inches could occur in some
areas.
...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...
The National Weather Service in Little Rock has expanded the
* Flood Watch to include portions of central Arkansas, southwest
Arkansas, and western Arkansas, including the following areas,
in central Arkansas, Garland, Grant, and Saline. In southwest
Arkansas, Hot Spring. In western Arkansas, Central and Eastern
Montgomery County, Northern Montgomery County Higher
Elevations, and Southwest Montgomery County Higher Elevations.
* Through Thursday afternoon
* WHEN...From 1 PM CDT this afternoon through Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations.
