FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...Much of central Mississippi, including the following
counties, Attala, Choctaw, Copiah, Hinds, Holmes, Leake, Madison
MS, Rankin, Scott, Simpson, Smith, Yazoo, Clarke, Jasper, Kemper,
Lauderdale, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Winston, Carroll, Grenada,
Montgomery, Webster, Clay, Lowndes, Oktibbeha, Jefferson Davis,
Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Covington, Forrest, Jones, and Lamar.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Recent rainfall has been well above normal over the watch
area, and additional thunderstorms with heavy rain moving
across tonight could lead to localized flash flooding.
