FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, northwest Florida and southeast Mississippi, including the following areas, in Alabama, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox. In northwest Florida, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland. In southeast Mississippi, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and Wayne. * WHEN...Through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An active pattern will continue today and tonight. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms capable of producing torrential rainfall will continue to impact interior portions of southeast Mississippi, much of southwest and south central Alabama, and the western Florida panhandle through early Monday morning. Storms will be capable of producing torrential downpours, with additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts possible in a short period of time. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding.
