Carolina...
Great Pee Dee River At Pee Dee affecting Florence and Marion
Counties.
For the Great Pee Dee River...including Pee Dee, Bennettsville
10sw...Minor flooding is forecast.
...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO LATE WEDNESDAY
MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Great Pee Dee River At Pee Dee.
* WHEN...From this evening to late Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flood waters will affect swamplands and
logging interests. Flood waters will affect timberland as far
downstream as Yauhannah two weeks after the crest passes Pee Dee.
Logging equipment needs to be moved.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 18.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon to a crest of 20.0 feet early Monday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
