Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the
following county, Pamlico.
* WHEN...Until 730 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 513 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 3 and 5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Florence, Whortonsville, Janeiro, Maribel, Merritt, Minnesott
Beach Ferry, Arapahoe, Minnesott Beach, Stonewall, Vandemere
and Mesic.
