FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Virginia and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in southwest Virginia, Bland, City of Radford, Craig, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski and Tazewell. In southeast West Virginia, Mercer and Monroe. * WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 506 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Blue Spring Creek, Altoona Branch, Blue Lick Creek, Blacklick Creek, Adair Run, Bentley Branch, Bluestone River, Big Spring Branch, Back Creek, Beaver Branch and Bee Branch. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
