A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for western North
Carolina.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.

* Until 345 PM EDT.
* At 305 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 13 miles east of Gatlinburg to 7 miles west of
Bryson City to 8 miles northwest of Andrews, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Sylva, Waynesville, Bryson City, Robbinsville, Cherokee, Cullowhee,
Lake Junaluska, Maggie Valley, Balsam and Webster.
