FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM EDT THIS
EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN ARLINGTON AND SOUTHEASTERN FAIRFAX COUNTIES
AND THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA...
At 503 PM EDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in
Springfield and Alexandria. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported several closed roads and
water rescues.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
