FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EDT TODAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, including the following
areas, Hartford CT, Tolland CT and Windham CT. Portions of
southeastern Massachusetts, including the following areas,
Barnstable MA, Dukes MA, Eastern Plymouth MA, Nantucket MA,
Northern Bristol MA, Southern Bristol MA, Southern Plymouth MA and
Western Plymouth MA. Portions of Rhode Island, including the
following areas, Block Island RI, Bristol RI, Eastern Kent RI,
Newport RI, Northwest Providence RI, Southeast Providence RI,
Washington RI and Western Kent RI.
* WHEN...Until Noon EDT today.
* IMPACTS...Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms with heavy rain
are expected toward daybreak Tuesday into Tuesday morning. A quick
1-2 inches of rain with localized 3 inch amounts are possible in a
2-4 hour period. This may impact the Tuesday morning commute and
result in street flooding...especially in the urban centers.
Highest probability for heavy rain and flooding is across the
south coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, including Cape Cod
and the Islands.
