deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast and southern California, including
the following counties, in southeast California, Imperial. In
southern California, Riverside.
* WHEN...Until 900 AM PDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1143 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated that long duration
rainfall is now dissipating across the warned area. However,
lingering flooding impacts will remain possible through the
overnight hours.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Tarantula Wash, Alamo River, Salton Sea, Wonderstone Wash,
Iris Wash, San Felipe Creek, Tule Wash, South Fork Palm Wash
and Coral Wash.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salton City, Chiriaco Summit, North Shore, Bombay Beach,
Salton Sea Beach, Desert Shores, Calipatria, Imperial Hot
Mineral Springs, Winona, Coolidge Springs and Niland.
