flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS
EVENING FOR MONMOUTH AND NORTH CENTRAL OCEAN COUNTIES...
At 750 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that produced
the excessive rainfall earlier are beginning to weaken. Areas of
water continue on roads and fields, so the warning will continue
into the evening.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Middletown, Marlboro, Manalapan, Tinton Falls, Holmdel, Red Bank,
Matawan, Roosevelt, East Freehold, West Freehold, Adelphia, and
Morganville.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 11 and 22.
Garden State Parkway between mile markers 107 and 119.
