St Johns River Near Astor affecting Volusia and Lake Counties. .The Saint Johns River at Astor remains in Minor Flood Stage due to elevated northeast winds across north-central Florida, high astronomical tides, and rounds of heavy rainfall. The river is forecast to continue a gradual rise to at least 2.9 ft early Sunday, then start to slowly decline by the middle of next week. Additional locally heavy rainfall near Astor could cause the river levels to reach Moderate Flood Stage. For the St. Johns River...including Astor...Minor flooding is forecast. Docks underwater at the Astor Bridge Marina and along Riveredge Drive. Portions of Fox Road are covered with water nearest to the river.
