The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Washington...
Skokomish River At Potlatch affecting Mason County.
.Heavy rain over the south slopes of the Olympics this morning will
push the Skokomish River above flood stage today. The river will
crest late this afternoon then begin receding this evening falling
below flood stage overnight.
For the Olympic Peninsula Region...including Potlatch...Minor
flooding is forecast.
...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Skokomish River at Potlatch.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, the Skokomish River will cause widespread
flooding of pasture lands, with water flowing quickly over West
Bourgault Road and Skokomish Valley Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 AM PDT Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 0.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this morning to a crest of 17.0 feet this afternoon. It will
then fall below flood stage late this evening.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
