FLOOD ADVISORY FOR A DAM FLOODGATE RELEASE NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST FRIDAY... * WHAT...River flooding caused by upstream dam release continues. * WHERE...A portion of North Central Maine, including the following county, Piscataquis. * WHEN...Until 400 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying areas near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 308 PM EST, an upstream floodgate release at the Ripogenus Dam is expected to cause minor flooding in the Abol Bridge Campground and along the Appalachian Trail north of Abol Bridge. - Abol Bridge Campground and the Appalachian Trail is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
