deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
county, Fairfield, northeast New Jersey, including the following
county, Bergen, and southeast New York, including the following
counties, Bronx and Westchester.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1122 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the
warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Yonkers, New Rochelle, White Plains, Port Chester, Rye,
Greenwich, Harrison, Scarsdale, Bronxville, Mount Vernon,
Eastchester, Mamaroneck, Rye Brook, Greenville, Pelham,
Woodlawn, Tuckahoe, Larchmont, Pelham Manor and Hartsdale.
