Georgia...
Oconee River near Mount Vernon affecting Montgomery, Treutlen and
Wheeler Counties.

Ocmulgee River at Abbeville affecting Wilcox, Telfair and Dodge
Counties.
...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE FRIDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding will continue.
* WHERE...Oconee River near Mount Vernon.
* WHEN...Until late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 17 feet, Minor flooding continues in the woodlands
and pastures upstream and downstream from the gage on U.S. Highway
280. Some homes on Dead River Road in the south end of Montgomery
County become surrounded by water. Water begins to cover lower
portions of Dead River Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 AM EST Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet and rising
slowly.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Friday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16 feet.
