Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Travis and Williamson.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 847 AM CST, Doppler radar shows light to moderate rain
moving across northern Travis and western Williamson
Counties. The rain is expected to move away from the affected
areas within the next few hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will continue to help
minor flooding especially along roadways, low-lying and poor
drainage areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville,
Taylor, Granger, Serenada, Anderson Mill, Leander, Hutto,
Liberty Hill, Jarrell, Florence, Weir, Georgetown Dam, Sun
City, Coupland, Jonestown and Jonah.
