FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM PST THIS MORNING FOR
COAST AND WESTERN VALLEYS IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY...
* WHAT...Areas of flooding caused by moderate to locally rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the a portion
of Orange county covering parts of the Santa Ana mountains and
western San Diego county.
* WHEN...Until 1130 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water on roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 915 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to locally
heavy rain. Areas of minor flooding have been reported.
Between 0.25 and 0.6 inches of rain have fallen in the past 3
hours, locally over an inch along northern San Diego County
coast.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 inch to 0.75 inches,
locally up to 1 inch, possible over the area into the late
morning and early afternoon. This additional rain will result
in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chula Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, El Cajon, Vista, Encinitas,
National City, La Mesa, Poway and Imperial Beach.
