you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 PM EST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding along Irondequoit Creek.
* WHERE...A portion of western New York, including the following
county, Monroe.
* WHEN...Until 145 PM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. High levels on
the creek may result in flooding at Ellison Park, and along
Blossom Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1241 PM EST, gauge reports indicated rain and snow melt.
Between 1 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rochester, Irondequoit, East Rochester, Fairport, Brighton
and Penfield.
