* WHAT...Heavy wet snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches over mountain passes, with up to 28 inches over the higher peaks. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Big Belt, Bridger and Castle Mountains and Snowy and Judith Mountains. * WHEN...From noon Tuesday to midnight MDT Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The combination of heavy, wet snow and strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
