Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Brazos River near West Columbia affecting Brazoria County. Brazos River at Richmond affecting Fort Bend County. Brazos River near Rosharon affecting Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Brazos River at US 59, Sugar Land, TX affecting Fort Bend County. Trinity River near Crockett affecting Houston, Madison, Walker and Trinity Counties. Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County. Trinity River near Moss Bluff affecting Liberty and Chambers Counties. Trinity River at Riverside affecting San Jacinto, Walker, Trinity and Polk Counties. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Goodrich, Liberty, Moss Bluff...Major flooding is forecast. For the Brazos River...including West Columbia, US 59, Sugar Land, TX, Richmond, Rosharon...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River at Riverside. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 138.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding continues with water 3 to 4 feet below the State Highway 19 Bridge and Plantation Drive near FM 230 is inundated. FM 2978 is flooded and impassable. Up to one foot of water is flowing over Thomas Lake Road which remains impassable. Several roads into the Green Rich Shores and Deep River Plantation subdivisions are covered with up to one foot of water and homes in Deep River Plantation are threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 137.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 132.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM CDT Sunday was 137.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 137.8 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 133.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 137.7 feet on 07/18/2007. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
