Avoid climbing on rocks and jetties. Stay away from the ocean and
remain out of the water to avoid hazardous conditions.
With the mercury dropping below freezing this evening, any standing
water and slush will quickly refreeze and promote the formation of
black ice overnight and Sunday morning. This will especially be the
case on many secondary roads and bridges. Freezing fog will also be
possible, leading to reduced visibilities and additional icing.
Motorists will need to remain alert overnight and Sunday morning for
icy spots on area roadways, especially bridges and overpasses, as well
as many secondary roads. Slow down and allow plenty of time to reach
your destination. Temperatures are expected to climb above the freezing
mark by midday Sunday.
Be sure to check road conditions before traveling. Visit the Arkansas
Department of Transportation's website Idrivearkansas.com for the latest
road and traffic conditions.
