At 856 PM EST...An area of heavy snow was 9 miles northeast of Springfield, or 13 miles southwest of Danforth...moving north AT 10 MPH. Locations impacted include... Calais, Lubec, Eastport, Danforth, Medway, Perry, Pembroke, Princeton, Springfield, Topsfield, Meddybemps, Grand Lake Stream, Lakeville, Lincoln, Fowler Township, Dyer Township, Codyville Plantation, Baileyville, Lee, and Mattawamkeag. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 233 and 241. US Highway 1 between Dennysville and Danforth. State Highway 9 between Crawford and Calais. * Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are occurring in this area of heavy snow. Rapid visibility reduction and potentially icy roads could lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the area of heavy snow passes your location. If traveling pull off to a safe location.
