At 1127 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Halifax to 12 miles south of Roanoke Rapids to
near Dortches to near Nashville to near Bunn to near Wake Forest.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Roanoke Rapids, Tarboro, Nashville, Louisburg, Halifax,
Wilson, Wake Forest, Zebulon, and Scotland Neck.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 173 and 119.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 38.
