The areas affected include... Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key 20 to 60 nm out... At 754 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 55 nm southeast of The Elbow Light to 27 nm east of Floyd's Wall Northeast, moving northwest at 20 knots. Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
