At 504 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected an area of gusty southerly winds gusting near 30 knots accompanied by rain showers advancing toward the reef from the Straits waters offshore the Lower Florida Keys. The leading edge of the winds were located along a line extending from 30 nm southwest of Marathon Humps to 7 nm south of Wood's Wall East Crack, to 15 nm south of Wood's Wall West Crack, and moving toward the north at 20 knots. Locations that will be affected include... Vandenberg, Joe's Tug, Wood's Wall West Crack, and Wood's Wall East Crack.
