Some of the tasks that will be completed in this profession include feeding, watering and mucking out.

One of the biggest responsibilities at any yard is that of the manager. The yard manager will be in control of everything taking place around the training facility, which means having a keen eye on all the stable staff, and the horses themselves.

Unlike the grooms, the yard manager’s will not be as hand’s on with their approach, as they will be tasked with scheduling staff, arranging bedding and also have a direct communication with the trainer to share any updates that they should be aware of. As well as this, yard managers will be in control of the calendars of the horses, and will order equipment and food.
