
Assistant Vice President of Information Technology Location: Dallas, TX Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 Employment Type: Full-time About the Role A leading provider of niche insurance solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President of Information Technology (AVP, IT) to drive innovation, enhance IT product delivery, and align technical initiatives with broader business objectives.
This leadership role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in software development, team leadership, and IT operations.

Responsibilities Develop and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that supports organizational growth and operational excellence.
Lead and manage software development, data governance, IT compliance, and process optimization efforts.
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team of 15+ professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with executive leadership and key business stakeholders to ensure IT services meet evolving business needs.
Oversee and guide the delivery of custom software solutions, including data warehousing, ETL processes, web applications, and reporting tools.
Ensure adherence to ITIL/ITSM frameworks and stay abreast of emerging technologies to improve service delivery and scalability.
What You Bring 10+ years of progressive experience in IT management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Proven success in leading software development teams, managing projects, and optimizing IT processes.
Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, data architecture, and compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex IT projects.
Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks, vendor management, and technology road mapping.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
