Position Description:

Casualty Claim Representative Location: Boston, MA Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000 Industry: Property & Casualty Insurance | Claims | Litigation About the Role Our client is a well-established property and casualty insurance organization, trusted for decades by personal and commercial policyholders across New England.

They provide comprehensive protection for personal auto, commercial auto, homeowners, renters, and condo owners, with a strong commitment to integrity and policyholder service.

As a Casualty Claim Representative, you'll play a key role in managing complex first and third-party bodily injury claims across both personal and commercial auto lines.

This position is ideal for a skilled claims professional with a strong understanding of litigation and negotiation.

You'll investigate claims, assess liability and coverage, and manage attorney-represented files—offering the chance to participate in arbitrations, mediations, and trials.

Key

Responsibilities Analyze and interpret policy coverage and determine liability across a range of auto and casualty claims.

Conduct thorough investigations, including interviews with insureds, witnesses, and claimants.

Handle a variety of complex claims, including UM/UIM, TNC, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella exposures.

Negotiate settlements directly with injured parties or their legal representatives.

Represent the company in litigation settings including depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and arbitrations.

Collaborate cross-functionally with legal teams and senior leadership on claims strategy.

Skills &

Experience 5–10 years of experience handling auto liability and casualty claims, including commercial, homeowners, UM/UIM, and Excess/Umbrella lines.

Expertise in the litigation process, arbitration, and trial preparation.

Ability to handle out-of-state claims and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) matters.

Strong negotiation, evaluation, and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology, subrogation, and legal issues related to casualty claims.

Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
