Casualty Claims Supervisor

Repwest Insurance, a subsidiary of AMERCO the parent company of U-Haul International, is seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor over Truck, Trailer and Storage units. As a Supervisor, you will train your team of approximately 5 quantity Claim Adjusters on procedures, policies, reporting requirements, and how to respond to Department of Insurance inquiries regarding insurance claims matters, and ensure department procedures are implemented by performing routine claim file audits and regular reviews daily of claim activity for each adjuster. You will be responsible for directing workflow; evenly dispersing new claims to each adjuster, managing to the severity of the claims, and ensuring the claims are touched within first 24 hours. You will also provide coaching and direction to employees, achieve high standards of productivity, quality and timeliness as established through efficient home office goals and utilization of personnel assigned. You will filter and evaluate complaints or escalated claims and develop resolutions. This individual will establish and communicate performance standards, monitor performance through appropriate reviews, and utilize management information reports to identify performance trends, as well as, assist the Claim Office Manager with forecasting of staffing needs and evaluations of individual and unit performance. This position will be worked from our Warminster, Pennsylvania field claim office. Other Duties Performed Occasionally or Infrequently: Respond to home office inquiries on claims matters providing early warning on high exposure claims Assist manager in budget forecasting and preparation of annual G&A budget Participate in special projects in department or home office Lead training classes

Employment Status: Full Time

Education Requirement: Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field or the equivalent in experience.

Position Requirement: Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) courses is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills; ability to provide clear direction to staff on claims and legal department matters.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills required.
Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
