A well-established, independent insurance agency in Clearwater is looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Operations Manager to lead and optimize their internal operations.

You won't be just covering desks when someone's out—you'll be expected to lead teams, develop and implement operational strategies , improve workflow, optimize technology (EPIC), and guide team performance with clear goals and accountability.

Key
Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations across all commercial lines departments Identify process inefficiencies and implement systems to improve productivity and service quality Lead, mentor, and support a team of account managers and support staff Conduct performance reviews, manage conflict resolution, and guide career development Hire and train new team members, ensuring strong onboarding and long-term development Ensure proper utilization and optimization of EPIC agency management system Develop and coordinate ongoing EPIC training for staff and enforce accountability standards Collaborate with producers and carrier reps to align operational strategy with client delivery Assist with carrier marketing efforts and placement strategy where needed Serve as a trusted advisor and right-hand to the ownership group in driving strategic initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile: Minimum 10 years of experience on the agency side of the insurance business At least 5 years of leadership or operations management experience Deep knowledge of commercial P&C coverages and workflows Highly proficient in EPIC (Applied) with a track record of training and system optimization Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills A Florida 2-20 license is required (or equivalent) A Bachelor's degree is preferred Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to lead by example This role offers the opportunity to step into a true leadership position with room to make meaningful, lasting improvements in both process and people.
