Key
Responsibilities Build and maintain dynamic relationships with Independent Agents to drive premium growth and retention.
Evaluate new and renewal submissions to determine risk acceptability, pricing, and coverage terms.
Use advanced underwriting tools to assess risk characteristics, set property limits, and ensure insurance-to-value accuracy.
Order and review inspections to validate underwriting decisions and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
Achieve targets for new business premium, renewal retention, and rate changes.
Qualifications What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in insurance or related field. 25 years of Commercial P&C underwriting experience (more senior roles available for experienced candidates).
Proven success in agency relationship management and business development .
Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email platforms .
Experience with online underwriting tools (e.g., Silver Plume, Reference Connect) preferred.
Professional insurance coursework (e.g., CPCU, AU) is a plus.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
