The Complex Claims Technical Specialist will handle serious injury and damage claims involving moderate to large exposures across multiple jurisdictions.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex files, guide litigation strategy, and collaborate with internal and external legal teams.

Ideal for a seasoned claims professional with deep commercial liability experience and strong litigation management skills.

Key

Responsibilities Review and assess new losses to determine initial action plans.

Analyze coverage in relation to case facts and allegations.

Draft and issue Reservation of Rights and Declination of Coverage letters.

Oversee subrogation initiatives to recover losses from responsible third parties.

Manage and direct outside counsel in defense of litigated claims.

Negotiate settlements and attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.

Skills &

Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 5+ years of commercial P&C claims handling with focus on complex and litigated matters. 3+ years of litigation management experience.

Strong commercial general liability knowledge; experience with Excess & Surplus Lines preferred.

High-level analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
