We are hiring a Delegated Authority Underwriter to support business relationship development, opportunity evaluation and delegated authority management. The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of underwriting experience in the E&S space with underwriting experience in both commercial and personal lines.

The position can be located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Parsippany, NJ, New York, NY, Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, Orlando, FL, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Rancho Cordova, CA or Scottsdale, AZ.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate as a key player in developing and overseeing new and existing business relationships, assisting in evaluating new opportunities in delegated authority business.
  • Assist in providing detailed contract analysis, rate review, and review risk level data and aggregate utilization to provide evidence of performance of existing business.
  • Aid in developing, coordinating, and participating in underwriting audits at client offices and conducting desktop audits.
  • Manage business activities in alignment with applicable underwriting authority, underwriting guidelines, internal directives, targets, and client strategies.
  • Support the process of aggregate allocation and deployment across client portfolios.
Qualifications

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Bring 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably with knowledge in delegated space and exposure to both personal and commercial underwriting.
  • Possess solid experience in underwriting individual risks in either commercial lines or personal lines, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power BI is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel on a quarterly basis.

Salary Range:

$80,000.00-$175,00.00 USD with performance based bonus potential

The successful candidate is expected to work in one of our offices 3-4 days per week and also be available for travel as required.

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
